9.3.2009 - The D Day - Happiest Day in our Life

I rushed to the hospital around 7.30 Am & took permission to go & meet Hema & the doctor. Doctor told me that Hema is still not getting labor and the best possible way is to do the C section. Based on the health of Hema we agreed to do the C section.

Since before the doctors visit Hema took the breakfast they told she had to wait for 6 hours to give local anesthesia for preparing her to the operation. The Doctor who is to do the C section visited her. Then the Anesthesian visited. Finally the Chief Doctor visited. She said we made a wise decision in accepting to do the C section because of the Precious pregnancy. They fixed 1 Pm as the time of operation.

I told my people all the information and told them to come to hospital. At around 12.30 they took Hema to the operation theater. They allowed me inside & told i can be with Hema during the operation. They said they will be giving Half anesthesia and then they will call me inside.

But they cant able to inject her in the spinal they decided to give full anesthesia and put Hema under sleep. So they told me i cannot go inside the theater. They did the operation and Hema delivered.

BABY BORN @ 1.30 PM

The staff came out and told me that baby born around 1.30 pm. At around 1.40 Pm they came our with the baby and showed her to me . Yes its a

BABY GIRL ( APARNA ) ...

After that they took the baby an mother to the recovery room for half hour and then they took her to the ward. Hema was semi conscious and the baby was sleeping within the mothers arms.
That's the birth story of Aparna our cute & beautiful daughter. Its a very happy day for us and after a long wait, myself and Hema were blessed.

8.3.2009 – Count down – Day 9

We reached the emergency section and the doctor there examined her and told us to admit Hema and to take CTG test. So We admitted Hema around 3.30 Am an they took CTG and other tests in the Ward.
They didnt allow me inside the ward but the ladies were inside until the CTG was over. Then they also had to leave. Since that day was holiday no doctors visited Hema in the ward. Around 11 Am i went to the hospital and was spending time with Hema until 8 Pm. She didnt feel pain any more which was strange to us. She had to eat the hospital food, walk around etc. Time passed by... We planned to speak to the doctor the next day during their rounds to check about the plan of action.
We went back home leaving Hema back in the hospital & to spend a sleep less night.

7.3.2009 – Count down – Day 10

Hema and baby are fine. I went to office and applied for leave for tomorrow as we have to go for blood test and from 10th to 23rd for the delivery time. Also i went & booked an order for new washing machine as the old one was not functioning.
Tonight Hema was having little pain from the evening. Baby movements were normal.
Tomorrow we had blood test which is to be taken fasting and after all the 3 time meals.
Around 12 .30 midnight Hema got some pain. She said this pain is different. So we preapred to take her to the hospital. We packed everything and after doing the prayers i drove her to the hospital along with her aunt and my sister in law.

We were little disappointed because of 2 reasons. 1. We thought that they will admit Hema today itself which they didn't. 2. We thought we will be meeting the cheif doctor which we can't. Anyways everything went on well that day. Hema and baby both are fine.

2.3.2009 – Count down – Day 15

After the CTG test they told us that the pain has started but its not sufficient for going into labour & the baby has not come into position. They sent her back to home & told to come when she gets pain.
In the evening we went to our regular doctor. She also tested & told that pain has started & Hema may deliver at any time.

Also they gave a chart to Hema for monitoring the baby’s movement & told her to mark the chart. If at any day, the kick count is less than 10, they told us to rush to the hospital.

16.2.2009 – Count down – Day 29

Morning we went to the Hospital.

First Hema gave Blood for Fasting Sugar Test. Then she & Aunt went for scanning.
During the scan they showed the photo of the baby. Both of them saw the baby very clearly. They were telling that the baby’s features look like Hema’s. (I am a bit lost here because I was not able see the baby).

After the scan we went to admission office and got Hema admitted in Ward # 10. They took here Urine sample & they took post breakfast blood sample. Then after sometime they provided lunch to Hema and took blood test post lunch.

Then evening tea was given & in night they gave dinner & took post dinner blood sample. They didn’t allow us to stay over night. So I & aunt returned home leaving Hema alone in the hospital. During the day the baby was kicking and moving a lot.

We were told that the doctor will review the results of the test and then they will decide about the discharge. So this is the first night I was away from Hema when we both were in Dubai.

15.2.2009 – Count down – Day 30

Its just another 30 days from today. Today is Valaigappu day for Hema. The ceremony went on well. Friends and relatives attended and showered Hema with flowers and bangles. Elders blessed her & the baby.

Expecting !!! - The Count down Starts...

Expecting...

Six long years passed by with out any results...

During that period there were...

Lot of            Advices...

Lot of            Back Talks...

Lot of            Complications & Consultations...

Lot of            Do's & Don'ts...

Lot of            Frustrations...

Lot of            Go here.. Go there directions...

Lot of            Mental Tortures...

Lot of            Poojas & Prayers...

Lot of            Treatments...

But we didn’t lose any hopes & we had lot of Expectations.

Then came the expected news. After Six years of waiting we heard the sweetest words we ever heard. HEMA IS PREGNANT.

The pregnancy was confirmed on 7th July 2008. By that time she was 4 Weeks pregnant. News was given only to selected members of family & friends who really prayed for us.

I am the first baby in my family & Hema was first baby in her family. Both firsts are having their first baby...

Today is her 229th day of her pregnancy (in her 33rd Week). Time is really flying. 2009 March 17th is given as Expected date of delivery. (EDD)

During the first 13 weeks she was told to be very careful. She suffered from morning sickness, abnormal vomiting & occasionally breathing trouble too during the period. Now Vomiting has stopped & also the morning sickness. Everything is going normal as of now.

Count down started. Another 51 days... I just thought of keeping track of the last 50 days of the pregnancy. So this blog.

Expecting...
